PARTNERSHIP

UNESCO and the Liiv Center have embarked on a global partnership to advance digital anthropology.

This is a four-year collaboration to unleash a global movement to identify innovative digital tools and methods, academic programs, career opportunities, and awareness raising of digital anthropology’s power to create a more ethical and equal society.

This partnership is specifically focused on ensuring digital technologies and policies are rendered more ethical and inclusive by enabling a deeper understanding of human cultures and beliefs, enhancing the conditions for achieving SDGs 1, 5, 10, and 1.

As a laboratory of ideas, UNESCO’s ambition is to respond to the major contemporary questions by using all the tools available to researchers. The LiiV Center will provide a forum for collaboration on innovations in digital anthropology as a mainstream area of academic inquiry and social transformation in the public and private sector.
